2021 - FUTURE NATURE - Floating Land, At the edge of Ideas - Noosa Regional Gall

Return to the album index page
Simone Eisler gives us an augmented reality experience that sees a sculptural installation continue to bloom around the viewer with species that have fled the sea below due to the effects of climate change.

This delicate and sensitive installation is an extension of Eisler's previous work in which she explores the evolution and transformation of animal and plant species as a result of humanity's impact on the environment.

Climbing and clinging to the trucks of trees perched high above Little Cove, a shift has occurred between the marine and the terrestrial, the transmogrification is amplified when viewed through an experiencing enhancing app that can be downloaded via the QR code supplied.

Cast gypsum forms, Found plastics, Shells, Augmented Reality App developed in collaboration with WICKED INTERACTIVE STORYTELLING - available for download HERE

Experience Simone Eisler's transformed artwork Future Nature when oceans rise.

This is an accompanying app for Simone Eisler's Floating Land sculptural installation Future Nature on the Park Road boardwalk, Little Cove, Noosa on display from the 9th to the 24th of October. Downloading this app will allow you to experience visually and aurally, in Augmented Reality, an imagined time when temperatures and ocean have risen due to climate change. As you stand on the boardwalk the ocean waters rise above you and you find yourself in an underwater coral garden where new adaptive creatures bloom around you.
